How about some of the barbecue places. We like Corky's. They have some pretty good lunch deals. Sometimes we get a to-go lunch and eat over at Patriot Park.

We tried Calhouns & Bennetts for BBQ last year. Both were good.

We don't seem to really have a favorite in Pigeon Forge. We have eaten at the Apple Tree Inn Family Restaurant for their breakfast buffett and liked it. We've eaten at many places there but none really stand out.

Our favorite eating places are in Sevierville (Governor's Crossing) and Gatlinburg. For the whole area, here's a rundown.

1) NASCAR Cafe - Sevierville
2) Alabama Grill - Sevierville/Pigeon Forge border
3) Rocky River Grill - Sevierville (we ate there one time last year and LOVED it)
4) Pancake Pantry - Gatlinburg (best pancakes anywhere ever period!)
5) Hard Rock Cafe - Gatlinburg
6) Bennett's Barbeque - Gatlinburg (haven't tried PF)
7) The Park Grill - Gatlinburg
8) Fannie Farkles - Gatlinburg (great corndog)

We love to eat on vacation! We only have one rule, we won't eat at a large chain restaurant, especially one that we have at home.

We like Duff's in the morning. Buffet has everything you could want.
We go light during the day like a picnic (Don't forget your picnic basket)or fast food and splurge at night.
We like Bennetts BBQ, and PoP's for fish/seafood.
In Gatlinburg we have eaten Crawfish at Crawdaddy's and listened to the karoke. That was fun. We had drinks, music, and dancing at the Smoky Mountain Brewery late night in Gatlinburg on the weekend.
For late night activities we walk the streets in Gatlinburg because PF shuts down pretty early.

I found a little hole in the wall the last My wife and me and our daughter were there. Now all i can comment on is there Breakfast. It is the Log Cabin Pancake house right down from Boydes Bear Factory outlet store if you are headed to Gatlinburg its on your left before you enter the woods there at the last light and just the opposite if your coming out of the woods from gatlinburg.

The DH and I love the Smoky Mountain Pancake House. They have the BEST pancakes ever! We always eat there at least once whenever we're in town. We also enjoy eating at the NASCAR Cafe as well...they're food is pretty good.

Apple Barn and Ruby Tuesday's are our favorites. Apple Barn is great food and atmosphere... Ruby Tuesday's has a great salad bar and steaks. I'm getting hungry just thinking about them... will be there in a week.

We just returned from a 5 day stay in Pigeon Forge. Here's a rundown of what we thought about restaurants.
Sunday- Chop House (Sevierville in outlet mall area): I ordered grilled pork chops and my son had the hamburger. Both meals were delicious. The prices were around 8.99 for the burger and I think around 10.00 for the lunch special of pork chops. I want to try Chop House again. Good food and service.
Monday- Calhouns (Pigeon Forge): I ordered the pork chop with smashed potatoes and my son had grilled salmon. Prices were around 14.99 for the salmon and 11.99 for the chops. Good food and service. We have eaten at Calhouns 5 or 6 times and had good food and service every time.
Tuesday- lunch at Wendy's; dinner at La Caretta's Mexican Food (Pigeon Forge): Our favorite Mexican Restaurant there- I had chicken nachos and son had soft tacos. Cost for the meal was around 15.00. La Caretta's is weak on atmosphere (it's a "hole in the wall"), but we like the food there- good salsa and chips.
Wednesday- lunch at Best Italian Restaurant (Gatlinburg)- we ordered a lunch sized pizza and their wonderful garlic rolls- ended up taking most of the pizza home- cost around $20 for pizza, drinks, and rolls. We liked the pizza and rolls. Dinner at Murder Mystery Theater- we ate several courses of food and actors performed a murder mystery show between courses. The price was expensive- $75 for the pair of us. Food included soup, salad, chicken, pork tenderloin, green bean casserole, baked potato, bread, and cheese cake for dessert. The food was okay and we had great service. I thought the acting was a little corny and the show was a little boring, but my 14 year old son really liked the whole thing.
Thursday- TGFridays for lunch- I ordered grilled chicken and my son had fish and chips. Cost was 10.99 for fish and chips and 11.99 for the chicken. Neither meal was that great. Good service, though.

We ate out more than we usually do since my husband and other son had to stay home due to my son's sports obligations. We tried several new places and had good meals there. Everyone has different opinions about food, but I hope this review is helpful.
