Ober Gatlinburg

How is this place? We were going to try it last year, but we ran out of time & money;) I am thinking about giving it a try this year, but have seen mixed reviews about it.

It is OK. Not too great. If you have never been I might suggest going. My kids like the ice skating and there are some pretty good views. Of course you can ride the Tram up and that is pretty neat. Most of what is up there is just shops. Go to this link for some reviews of Ober Gatlinburg.

Me and my husband went and we stayed no more than 30mins it was a wasted trip:eek: ...We drove up to it because some of my family members said how great it was and it was better than dollywood so we tried it and they were way wrong dollywood is a whole lot better.I think that whole place needs to be updated and some better stuff added....But you might like it...it was a big dissapointment:mad: ....jackie5

We visited Ober Gatlinburg about 3 or 4 years ago, and I remember that it wasn't in the greatest condition then. To me, the ice rink is the biggest thing that they have going for them. And of course the ski slopes, but we're not skiiers. Plus, the ski slopes are seasonal.
We actually drove up since the DH didn't want to ride the tram. It was something to do once, but I don't think we would go back unless we wanted to ski, and that is very doubtful. I do wish that they would offer snow tubing, now that we would go for!
